today i got snail mail from CZ and i was really surprised, i didn’t expect anything. when i opened the envelope i laughed! inside was the confirmation of the CACIL in kralupy, last year in june. meanwhile we don’t need it anymore because lilly’s title was confirmed with CACIL from galtür/january 2011 …
so if anyone of you got CACIL last year and didn’t get confirmation from belgium for the title – try it again now.

typical version of lure, used at the coursing EM in france 2010
§ 2.6.4.: The lure must be made of a light hare skin about 40 cm long, or of a similar material. If the weather is rainy or humid, a plastic or cloth lure can be used.
source: FCI regulations for sighthound races and lure coursing
at nearly every coursing i visited during the last three years the lure was made of plastic stripes … nothing similar to hare skin. some clubs hide a piece of fur under the plastic stripes but in most cases the hounds hunt colourful plastic even at sunny weather.

the first paragraph at the FCI homepage is this one:
The Fédération Cynologique Internationale is the World Canine Organisation. It includes 86 members and contract partners (one member per country) that each issue their own pedigrees and train their own judges. The FCI makes sure that the pedigrees and judges are mutually recognized by all the FCI members.
