Entry from other EU Member States and qualifying (low risk) countries:

You must have an EU Pet Passport or Veterinary Certificate certifying microchip identification and subsequent rabies vaccination at least 21 days before entry into Ireland.
Unvaccinated pets under 3 months of age are not permitted entry.

Import from EU member states and listed third countries
- The demand for rabies antibody testing is abolished. This means that you may travel with your animal at the earliest when it is approx. 4 months old (the animal may be vaccinated when at least 3 months old, and may not travel until 21 days after the first vaccination).
- The deworming requirements will change, but the definite rules are not yet finalised.

dogs and cats from EU and listed countries with low incidence of rabies entering the UK from 1st January 2012 will no longer require a titer test 6 months prior to travel. GB follows EU regulation and a vaccination older than 21 days will be fine.
