training 2011 in figures

most people ask which food lilly gets but some ask as about our trainings. so this are the figures from my training in 2011. it is nearly identical with lilly’s jogging training. figures from energy consumption are definitly wrong because my heart rate monitor didn’t work properly all the time.

lilly’s birthday present – oirschot/NL

on 14th july lilly had her fourth birthday and the coursing EM in oirschot was her birthday present. i learned that young wolfhounds have better chances to win competitions and i knew that there where some young talents entered for oirschot, not half as young as lilly. our aim was to have fun. we where looking forward to nice courses, hopefully longer than those whippet courses in chardonnay last year and strong partners with which lilly could show her strengths.

the weather forecast showed us that Continue reading »

short cut – coursing EM 2011

i have to sort myself now after a long and exciting weekend so this is just a short cut blog entry. lilly run in her strongest field ever – 17 bitches in the competition! she ran her longest course ever – there is no entry in our licence about distance but it was definitly longer than kralupy with 950m. lilly had two Continue reading »

happy birthday my girl!

© helge kronsteiner

hard to belive but lilly has her 4th birthday today! she kept her “inner puppy” well and let it play quite often. on the other hand she is my trainer in being patient by showing me very clearly when i am nervous and should calm down. she loves coursing, of course, but she also loves our daily walks and our jogging training. and sometimes we are silently at the terrace watching the moon and listening to the owls and it is fine, too.

lilly is not the type of wolfhound which attracts everyone and at first view but those who understand her become real fans of her. three places didn’t suit her and she had quite a long journey to join me. thanks again to all those who helped us to find each other. she is my hound. thank you, lilly, for being by my side!

interview for czech iw-info website.
